I had the opportunity of taking our son to Texas just in time for the arrival of his new cousin, Jackson. Justin had to stay behind in New York to wrap up final projects for the semester and to attend class, so off Harper and I went. (Have you ever spent 5 hours in flight alone with a toddler? Not fun!) It was definitely a whirlwind 3 weeks! I had the enormous honor of photographing Jackson’s birth and taking his newborn pictures… but before any of that could be done Jax needed maternity photos and we had to capture some to remind them of when they were just a family of 3! The Texas bluebonnets were in full bloom so we headed out on a slightly overcast day and WOW! There aren’t many places where you see color like this, just vibrant and intense and all around you! I loved capturing these photos of one of my favorite families, are they not absolutely gorgeous?
Jax, Trey & Eli, we love you all so much, and Jackson, too. Can’t wait to see you all again. <3
